Snow White

Once upon a time,

When the light was lime.

There lived a kind king,

Of whose goodness people used to sing.

He had a pretty queen,

Who too wasn’t at all mean.

Days went happy and gay,

And cheerful,as people say.

Then one day Snow White was born,

Her beauty was fresh and compared to dawn.

She grew up to be a gentle child,

Because she had manners and was also mild.

Suddenly one day the queen died,

Everyone in the kingdom a lot cried.

The king for his child’s sake,

As her life easy he wanted to make.

Married and brought a new queen,

But the twist is,this one was mean!!

Days rolled by,then one night,

There was a call for the king to fight.

He went and fought with all his might,

But sadly he never returned to Snow White.

The mean queen took over the throne,

The people of the kingdom started to moan.

The queen was very jealous of Snow White’s beauty,

Thus,failed to do sincerely the assigned duty.

One day to a soldier a work she gave,

To kill Snow White,in the forest’s cave.

The soldier took Snow White with him,

But dint kill her,as his heart wasn’t dim.

He told Snow White to run and never return,

To show the queen he took a beast’s heart in turn.

Snow White now in the forest started to wander,

Where should she go,she started to wonder.

Then in the forest’s heart,a house she saw,

She started to knock,according to the law.

Then she entered,but inside no one could she find,

“So tiny!” ,was the first thought that ran through her mind.

“Oh!How dirty!?”,she further exclaimed,

To make it shiny she now claimed.

She cleaned and made things right,

Then tired went off to sleep Snow White.

Then came the dwarfs,five plus two,

After whole day’s work entered in a row.

Astonished to see their house the most,

Thought in there surely was a Ghost!

To wake her they had to muster up strength,

For she was almost double their length.

Then she woke up with an innocent look,

Everyone’s heart away which took.

Then they about her a lot inquired,

Because to satisfy their anxiety this was required.

Then both the parties agreed to a deal,

That Snow White would clean and cook the meal.

Everyday from then went with a new hope,

Because there were no problems with which they had to cope.

Everyone in work was a little busy,

But overall life was great and easy.

Meanwhile,the Queen asked,”whose most beautiful?” to the mirror,

It said “Snow White” but the queen took it to be an error.

But,with time,her believe became firm,

Snow White was alive,it was now confirm.

Now the queen decided to kill Snow White without a miss,

So,she dressed like an old apple seller to accomplish this.

She went to the forest and knocked Snow White’s door,

She asked Snow White to have a bite of the apples galore.

As Snow White took a tiny but deadly bite,

There came the dwarfs to kill the queen with might.

Then the queen started to rapidly run,

But fell down a mountain,after the wrong done.

The dwarfs came sadly back,

Because after the incident they were taken aback.

Then they started to make arrangement,

For the funeral with sheer engagement.

She in the coffin with flowers was laden,

Although dead,she looked like a fair maiden.

One by one all came to give her a last kiss,

Now they were going to her,a lot miss.

Then on a white horse came a Prince,

Near her he came to have a glimpse.

He too kissed her and bid her farewell,

But as he did so,everything got magically well.

Snow White came back to life,

And the Prince decided to make her his wife.

All the dwarfs even Grumpy,

Jumped with joy and were Happy!
