The other day a bus I boarded

With people it was overloaded

With a great difficulty a ladies’ seat I got

I was too preoccupied to hear the gossiping lot

When it was time for me to get down

I turned and noticed a pretty face with a frown

My heart missed a beat

When I saw the girl next to my seat

Kohl lined eyes were dark brown

She did look mean despite the frown

Every feature of hers was a perfect fit

With a mole below the lips, she was a hit

That whole day she kept me busy

Imagining her I almost felt dizzy

I just wanted to see her desperately

I just wanted the clock to tick a bit quickly

The next day when I came on the bus stand

Within moments I thought I’d be in my dreamland

On the bus, I saw her again

It took me,several moments for me,to my senses regain

Today her silky hair was open & she wore pink

I uncontrollably on seeing her, just winked

I was really apologetic for what I did

So, I apologised in everyone’s mid

She accepted it and gave me a smile

Again to compose myself it took me a while

Trust me, she looked prettier like this

She looked ecstatic, better than any other miss

Days rapidly rolled by

But nights were slow, I won’t deny

As I wanted the sun to quickly make its way

So that I could again see her the following day

One day I was for the bus late

The whole day I kept cursing my fate

I was so badly addicted to that face

Who had no relation with me in the past days

I don‘t know what relation we had

But my heart cried when she was sad

And I was the happiest in the world

To see her long hair getting unfurled

I didn’t know anything about her

But the next time I’d surely infer

I wanted to know the name of this face

Who had kept me busy for so many days

When I went back home that day

I idly on the couch, lay

I was really nervous that night

Coz I was too eager to make her my, Ms Right

The next day I was all set

To ask the girl out, I previously met

I waited for the bus for an hour

But the bus wasn’t in sight near or far

When I from my thoughts took a break

I heard few people talk which almost made me shake

They were saying the bus had yesterday met with an accident

No one survived after the deadly incident

The drunk driver was driving rashly

So he collided with a building directly

Within a fraction of a second I must say

He had ended many lives, a brutal way

Within the blink of an eye

All my dreams in pieces on the ground lie

Wouldn’t I ever get to see that face?

On which, for days I had fixed my gaze

His mistake made me a sufferer

His pleasure made me a bearer

I had lost my lady in pink

She disappeared altogether in a wink

Dead now but still made me lose my senses again

And I don’t think I’d ever my senses regain

Her smile, her eyes, her hai, her mole

She was a person unforgettable, whole

I thought how could God be so unfair

How could he not about my feelings care

How could he punish me so severely

For a mistake I hadn’t even committed,really

Some of my answers I got never

Some people remain strangers forever

For a tomorrow I eagerly used to wait

But I guess for it, I was late

Now whenever I enter a bus

I still look for those eyes in midst of all the buzz.
