So there will be nights when we won’t agree with the one whom we feel we are the closest to

We would feel is it the same person we thought we knew

We knew so well

Just a moment ago

We were completing each other’s sentences

And vouched to build our world around

Each other’s insecurities and vulnerabilities

And then

In a heartbeat

We look into those same eyes

And feel they are in stark contrast to the colour of our beliefs

Those very eyes which lifted our feet off the ground

Make us hit rock bottom

But that very moment

In that very moment

We need to understand

Maybe those eyes shine differently

Because we are maybe standing at a different angle

And it’s all a game of light and perspective

So instead of turning your gaze away

Look deeper

Look closer

Hold on!

Your world is exactly the same colour you wanted it to be.
